Huzzah! The main level is finally coming all together. Two more rooms cleaned out, painted, and ready (if a bit bare).

Screwing

I was screwing in the light switch plate after the wall was painted.
Thank you for all the good things you did while we were in Lincoln.

Note: Forrest reattached the light switch to the wall then, screwdriver in hand, commented, "I'm going to go see if there's any more screwing I can do!" That's what motivated the picture and entry. No, I'm not going to explain why I thought it was funny until he's a *lot* older.

The southwest corner - definitely the coolest.

And the northwest corner, showing the new "jungle-y" elements. The cylinders and the leaves are from Ikea. The cylinders are cloth mesh pocket-like shelves with an access hatch just above each shelf. The walls are now all yellow with no more wide nursery stripes; they took 4 coats of paint to cover.

Dragon Painting

Forrest's nana (Alayne) came out this week to paint a mural on the wall of his room. Initially, it was going to be a jungle, but it soon grew into a wonderful dragon stretching across two walls of his room.
