No More Yellow!

Here's the same view - mostly - as the previous picture, but the obnoxiously bright yellow is gone. And Forrest, to his consternation, is no longer allowed in what he called "my cabinet." (Yes, he got the Harry Potter reference - kind of. He commented that he was glad he didn't have muggles for parents.)

It looks great!! And it's the color I'm trying to talk Eric into painting our kitchen that color! Will the insides be white? What about the doors?

We're not painting the insides of the cupboards, although the shelf liners are white. The doors will be the same color as the rest; I figured they were a lot less critical - we can load the shelves and use the kitchen with the doors off. The walls are currently white with a yellow gingham border, but the counters are white, and the walls don't quite match. Rather than try (and probably fail) to match the counters, we plan to paint the walls a light sandy-tan to coordinate with the brown we'll use in other parts of the main floor.

Mom mentioned that your beige turned out to be more pink then expected. We both have pink walls now! I can't wait to re-paint them, but I discovered while painting Quin's room that I HATE painting. I still haven't decided what to do about it, so we still have pink walls. Eric wants white, I want some sort of color. I'm hoping we'll be able to compromise with one wall being a bright color and the rest white. That's a future project, though.
