Spring Pictures

This one's not very spring-like, and it was almost dusk, so the picture didn't come out very well. Forrest made a trio of snowmen for our front yard.

Forrest entered a board on crystals in the science share this year. This picture shows him mixing sugar syrup for rock candy (which didn't turn out because Tabor kept wiggling the sticks that the crystals were supposed to grow on; he made other crystals from a science kit).

The very flat squished bunny cake. The icing was a mixture of marshmallow fluff and whipping cream - tasty, but runny.

Alyssa has been painting a mural on Angi's wall because she thought the light blue color was boring. One of her favorite books, Shel Silverstein's The Missing Piece and the Big O, inspired the design.

Real adventures in backyard maintenance - using a chainsaw!

Alyssa dressed for Mismatch Day during Spirit Week. It took quite a bit of effort to get so badly coordinated!

Bionicle battles, recorded by Forrest.

And, of course, the obligatory cute kitteh picture.

Hey Forest, you need to repeat your rock candy experiment because Grandpa Rich says he remembers that they are really fun to eat particularly when made from brown sugar. Thanks for the update guys! We really enjoy the photos. Hugs to all.

Wow! It looks like you're having fun! AND you're experienced with chainsaws; what a great way to use, er, um, entertain you when you visit! We'll take out the tree stump from the tree that came down this winter! (Actually, Marta gave me a visitor's guide, so there should be lots of stuff in there for us to do, but we're always up for free yard help!)
